About

Simon Staddon

Enterprise networking, wireless and RF — with seven years of director-level leadership building and mentoring technical teams across EMEA.

I work in technical leadership across EMEA enterprise networking and fixed wireless, leading a team of Regional Technical Managers. I recruited most of that team, set priorities, coached people through complex customer work, and stayed hands-on with Wi-Fi, switching, firewalls, outdoor wireless and radio planning when the hard problems landed.

That combination matters: I can help with the network itself, and with the managers and engineers who have to keep delivering after a project ends.

Earlier in my career I was an RF and systems sales engineer on outdoor broadband wireless — planning and demonstrating radio links up to 100 km — and spent years in baseband and RF design verification for mobile platforms. That work included contribution to two patents connected with mobile-phone and base-station platforms.

I have also developed training material and trained sales engineers, systems engineers, channel and distributor teams. I enjoy clear priorities, practical support, and the awkward problems that sit between a design document and a network that works on site.

Available across the UK, Europe, the Middle East and Africa for surveys, commissioning visits, project work and team development.

Focus areas

Where I add most value

—

Large or awkward projects

Multi-site rollouts, hospitality and campus environments, or programmes that need a senior technical lead who can still get on a laptop or a rooftop.

—

Outdoor & RF-heavy work

When coverage, path planning, interference or commissioning quality matter more than a generic IT install.

—

Building technical teams

Mentoring managers, shaping ways of working, and helping organisations hire and grow people who can run complex customer and project work.

—

Training the people who deliver

Helping engineers and partners build confidence with products and best practice, not just completing a slide deck.
